One more taken with Chas at St. Augustine Alligator Farm. Working on clean backgrounds--this one has a lot of light in it--hope the color adds rather than detracts. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Final repost--still not happy with the background but I believe this photo is cleaner. Thanks for all your comments.

I like the pose and the bird's plumage is wonderful. I fear however that you might have over processed the image. It looks as though you added either too much contrast or too much saturation. It could also use a quick run through a noise filter. All of this is correctable so don't worry and I'm sure you will still end up with a pleasing image because you have something good to work with. :D

Interesting, Terry. For my tastes I agree with Simon. I can understand, however, that the artistic vision displayed here might work for many individuals.

Very cool shot Terry. I think it is a great capture of the egret and does not need the extra color saturation to be a strong image, but admire your creative thinking.

Terry:

I am with Sandy, too psychedelic for my taste. The subject is very handsome.

Sorry guys--first post was from my new laptop where it looks fine, Sandy thanks for crediting me with 'artistic vision'. Wish I had some. Jason--sorry if you liked the electric blue version but it's not quite to my taste. I've posted a better version from my desktop though I still need to go back to the original and start over. Just didn't want to leave your comments unanswered. Thanks to all. Looks like some calibration is needed.

I like the second image better, but it still looks a bit over sharpened. Overall this is a very nice shot and a little playing will take care of most of the nits.

Hi Terry !!!! Repost much better but still overcooked intensity wise!!!

That bird would have been pure killer with an all blue bg!!!! 8) 8) 8) For some reason the cattles had lots of color early this year !!!! 8)
