Although I had lots of ideas for elephant shots I wanted to get in Amboseli, this wasn't one of them. Late on the last game drive of the trip, the sun popped out and this family started heading out across the dusty plains with nice cloud formations above. EOS 1Ds, full frame, ISO 100, 100-400 at about 150, polarizer, f11.

I think this is excellent, Matt! I really like how much sky you included, giving the image a good sense of scale. This is very nice! What are the three white things on their backs? (Birds?)

I like this. I am guessing, but the three white things are probably cattle egrets. (OR transmitters, NOT :D :D :D )

Very nicely done. Love the thought to show the elephants small and I'm guessing that this one will print wonderfully at a large size to give you the detail in the elephants and even the cattle egrets. (Never saw them on elephants before though!)

great shot! Amboseli is a difficult place to photograph, in my opinion. It seems to be overcast every time I go there!

Nice shot Matt. lovely colour tones and nice to see these large animals put into perspective against the vastness of the African plains.

Love this shot. The expanse of sky sets of the herd nicely.
