I wish the head was more pronounced against the background. Suggestions for improvement will be appreciated.

1DMKII, Sigma 50-500 w 1/4 TC at 700mm, 1/320, F9, partial +1/3, ISO 320

Bev, it looks like you had partial light hitting the bird. Fill flash would do a good job of balancing that out. I wish for a less busy BG. I like the pose.

A boost in contrast/saturation will make this bird pop more. It is a little flat as posted but a great looking bird in mixed light. Fill flash would help make this bird pop more off the bg as Alan and KK mentioned.
