500 1.5 Canon D10

Unfortuantely a few days after the shot was taken this nest was flooded under water and deserted from heavy spring runoff.

Good job with the tough exposure on this good looking bird. I might clone out or crop the feather on the left margin. Nice shot!

It is a nice behavioral shot. You have done well with the exposure and details with a nice turn of the head. It's a shame about losing the nest.

Nice one John--nice to see in breeding plummage since by the time we see them in southern California they have lost that black head. How unfortunate about the nest.

A cool shot. I might be tempted to clone out the feather on the left margin. It doesn't hurt the photo to speak of but I think getting rid of it might look nicer.
