This one was taken last May at Washington Pass in the north Cascades with a little bit of drizzle. This is also when/where I shot the Pine Grosbeak I posted last week. I added a teeny bit of canvas to the right side to give the bird a little more room. Otherwise this is full frame. Comments, critiques, and reposts are welcome as always. Thanks for looking :)

Very nice, the rain drops add an interesting element.

An excellent shot with clean bg, Michael!
Actually Velvia translates better in ful sun lit condition.
The poor little thing looks a bit soaked too ... :(

Very nice. I'd like to have seen more DOF to get the tail sharp.

Thanks Alan, I agree with wanting more DOF. I wish I had the EXIF data on this one saved so I knew what my shutter speed was. I do remember being concerned about that considering the low light though. This is something I definately need to work on more as I often shoot as wide open as I can and worry mostly about getting the head in focus, often without ever worrying about stopping down. I think I need to learn to slow down a bit and see if I can't stop down more often when I am very close to my subject to make sure I get more of the subject in focus.

Does this look a bit dark to other people? I'm asking because I recently started preparing images on my laptop due to issues with my other computer and I wonder if things look lighter on here than they do on other people's monitors. Thanks for pointing this out, if you or anyone else sees my images looking a bit dark please let me know so I can see if it has something to do with the laptop prep. Thanks! :)
