Shot this fellow on a shoot at a local office park pond chasing Mergansers. He kept getting closer and closer while the Mergansers kept getting further and further from my bag blind.

Nice image of this beauty. I see a vertical crop working also for this one. The colors look a bit washed out and overexposed on my monitor.

What a beautiful little bird and sharp as a tack. One possibility of tightening up the shot a bit would be to lop off some of the space on the right since the bird in facing left and a little on the top to raise the subject in the frame. I think a square crop would be perfect since the branches form an "X" in the BG. If you shot in RAW, you might consider reducing the exposure a third and bringing up the highlights in Levels or Curves.
