Snow Goose Bosque del Apache NWR, NM

This is a combination of things I learned in the last year or so from NSN and the helpful commentary.

Flight shots take a lot of thought, preparation and not a little luck. This was about 20 minutes before sunset.

This was shot at ISO 800, 1/4000 @ f/6.3 with a 20D, 500/4L IS + 1.4X TC II, Gitzo 410 + BH1 + Sidekick. Converted with BB. Noise Ninja to tame the noise and PS CS with Shadows/Highlights to open the shadows.

Thanks to all for the helpful comments and instructions.

Great flight shot. I am seeing a halo around the wings from the shadow/highlight tool. Love the low light.

Jim, yes, flight shots are not that easy. This is done well in the light you had.
