wilson's plover in sweet light

this is again a product of my intense stalking ;-) with the 100-400mm

pretty much full-frame with minor crop to the left, barely any "photoshopping" - amazing the color you get in late afternoon :)

fort myers beach, florida (usa)

Lovely image, great bird, background, and mud. Looks as if you had nearly direct, soft frontal lighting, so I'm wondering why fill flash?

The contrast doesn't bother me. The complimentary BG color really adds to the image.
