I checked out the Ship Canal at the Lift Bridge, Burlington today. The piers have been cordoned away on both sides due to construction and some other issues. There won't be much BIF shooting this year I'm afraid. I'll try to sneak in passed the cordon next time.

Always great to see photographs of the Long-Tailed Duck, Karl, especially in flight. ( Hope you are successful in getting in closer next time) ! Bronte Harbour had several Long-Tailed Ducks last winter with good access for photography- perhaps they have arrived there as well, anyway, a fine image here, Karl.

A beauty Karl! The light is sublime. Good luck with the ducks this year as it looks challenging for you.
