Lion Portrait

This is my favorite lion portrait from the Mara. Taken in early morning after the pride had feasted. The amazing thing here is the face isn't covered with flies!
Canon EOS 3, 300mm f2.8 with 2x, probably Sensia, beanbag from roof of land rover. Full frame. I might crop a bit from the right on this after looking at it more.

This is a gorgeous portrait in spectacular light. I'd like to see it in vertical, I kind of miss the upper mane where it's clipped by the frame.

Very nice & wonderful light. Like Lillian, I would like it just a bit less tight. Scars on the nose well attest to a difficult life.
