Serval Cat #2

Canon 1DMKII, 500mm, 1/640 @f/8, ISO 320

Here is a slightly different pose but with a different angle to the sun. I was trying to balance the depth of field where the serval's body was all in focus, but the foreground and background grass went OOF. I think I could have opened up a bit more for less DOF, IMHO.

Very cool looking cat! I love those ears and the pose and body shape makes the cat look like something from ancient Egypt. I love the grassy surroundings and nice details. I might have been tempted to take the PS weed wacker (cloning tool) to those two pieces of grass that are close to the cat's nose, but that is getting really nitpicky on my part. Very well done image.

I'd agree, this one is way better and is only let down by the grass up the nose.
