The serval cat is a very difficult animal to see, let alone get a decent photograph of. We were lucky enough to have seen 3 serval cats in 2 days, and each sighting had above average conditions for photography. I didn't capture and wall hangars, but I just love sharing the experience with others. They are fascinating to watch!

wow.. I never realized that servals had such weird proportions. It's head looks like it's way too small for it's body. I wish we could see the whole tail.

You did well to get a clear shot in daylight of one of these beauties Andy! Its a shame you didn't get the tail and feet, but the detail in this shot is excellent and way better than anything I have (which is none!!) Well done! 8) 8) 8) :)

You did very well to get this of the elusive Serval. We watched the tips of ones ears crouched in tall grass for an hour in Kenya and never did get to see any more of him. Congrats!

Andy, My experience mirrors yours. They are uncommon to find and good images are even rearer. Still a nice way to document the trip.

Given the elusive nature of these cats this is really nice! They do have weird proportions.
