I joined 3 days ago and submitted my first picture the same day, but as of today it still hasn't been posted. I know it said it would have to be approved my the administration first. Did something go wrong or does it normally take this long?

NSN is attacked by spammers all the time, so for every new account we have a brief period of mandatory review by forum moderators before new posts appear. Like most online communities, we're largely volunteer based. So sometimes it takes the team an extra day or so to deal with approving new accounts.
