I have many images that I posted on the old NSN system where images were linked to from an external website. I was wondering if it was possible to edit those old posts and upload images using the new system so that the images are hosted on the NSN servers as opposed to an external site. When I try to do this, I get timeouts when the system tries to generate the thumbnail. Is this a bug or a feature?

Greg, I think it should be possible to do what you propose. Can you provide two or three urls to the old images?

Thanks for responding Gary. Sorry for the slow response on my end. Here are some links to some of my old posts with photos linked offsite.

Greg,
Thanks for the additional information. Now that I have better understanding of the problem, there does seem to be a glitch in the thumbnail process. I'll let you know when I know more about the fix in a few days.

Greg,

I understand that there were some problems with the ownership settings on these early files which have been fixed now. How about giving it another try and let us know what happens?

Thanks,
Gary
