African Lion Panthera Leo

Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia.

EOS10D, Sigma 100-300 F4 + 1.4TC, ISO 200, F8, 1/200.

Junior has pushed his luck just a little too far. It is a searing hot day and the pride is resting in a small patch of shade to escape the midday heat. Father loses his cool for a moment and snarls. Junior is completely unphased by this and takes a close look at his father's fangs......

Oh my! I guessed that you had "topped out" on the prior interaction, but this one is certainly the equal. Very different look but tremendous interaction shot.
