it seems that so many of the times we travel to a particular hot spot for photography all we see is the yellow lines in the middle of the highway flash by at 100 kmh.....this past vacation to the northwest coast of BC we took the time to slow down and stop as often as we could to see the scenes "from the yellow line".

This is a typical pacific west coast creek.

Thanks for looking comments always welcome.

I like the leading lines of the creek. At first I thought the gren at the top might be a bit heavy but don't really mind it.

Very nice shot Doug! The rich greens, white water and golden rocks all complement each other very well in this excellent composition. 8) 8) 8) 8) :)

Seems a bit dark and contrasty. But that could just be my monitor.

It's a nice shot, though! The S-curve of the river works well, as do the layers in the trees.

This looks like it could be any river in the Rockies, though I'm sure it's not actually in the Rockies... (But the coast ranges are geologically similar enough!)

It looks like it would be fun in a kayak with a bit more water!

Loaded nice and quick this time!

Doug-

Its a beautiful composition. I really like the small patch of hazy, distant trees at the very top right. It opens up the entire picture, as though the stream is originating from there (and it may be). Very nicely conceived and executed!
