Somewhere over North West Canada or South East Alaska

I picked a daytime flight and a window seat up to Alaska in hopes of getting some picture from altitude. These all required a lot of contrast adjustment to make work but there are a number of images that seem to work. This is one of those images.

Hand held Nikon D2H, 17-55AFS, ISO 200, @ 28mm, Aperture Priority, 1/2000 @ F4, EV +0.3. Rotated and cropped slightly.

Interesting swirl-like pattern in the central clouds here. Still seems like it could use some contrast enhancement in the midtones but that may be tough to do.

I think you need to look again. Those aren't clouds in the S pattern. That is a mountain range and a glacier as is the area on the far right. :)
