Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Travel and Culture Gallery, week ending 27th April, 2012!Paris

I shot this panorama quite late one night after a wet evening. The City of Light often reflects off the sky to produce these golden tones.

Check out the larger version on my website which still doesn't come close to showing the sort of detail that exists in a 10 stitch panorama.

Gorgeous shot and the larger version is much better! The reflection off the wet pavement really makes the shot for me -- love that golden light!!!

Wonderful image, and agree with Gary about the reflections and the color. I'm guessing that this ten frame stitch involved a telephoto (~200mm?) lens in vertical orientation, but it also may have been done with a wider lens with greater overlap between shots. Care to offer details?

I shot it with a 16-35mm in vertical frames with 30-40% overlap using a normal ballhead. I don't use any specialist pano gear.

The wet pavement really adds to the overall feel of the picture.

The vastness of the scene with the amazing detail and lovely amber tones make for a most compelling image.
