Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Landscapes Gallery, week ending 9th March, 2012!This pictures was taken several days ago with the planetary conjunction of Jupiter, Venus and Mercury with the Moon sandwiched. At that time Mercury was already below the horizon.
The larger size of the stars on the left side is due to the shift of any lens on the objectiv. I've already changed by another :)
Image
Canon 5D MII, Samyang 14 mm f2.8, ISO 800, Manual blending of two exposures of three minutes, one traking the stars

Love it. Of course, the sky and alignment of planets is fantastic, but the light on the snow is magic.

Phenomenal. How do you like the Samyang lenses?

Many thanks to all for the comments. E.J., this particular lens has an unbeatable value for money. But logically with its price there are problems in the quality control, I had to change due to a decentering of the lenses, but the new works ok. Now, the stars in the corners (full frame) are almost circular with vey low coma and astigmatism.

Love it. So crisp. If it were mine, I probably would clone out the city lights.
