Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Photo and Digital Art Gallery, week ending 13th January, 2012!Just a quick Pixel Bender image, with a bit of liquify in the water. Masked the eye back in and bumped up the vibrance/saturation a bit. Comments welcomed.

Here it is w/o the black on the borders Cynthia.

Hi

I think this effect works really well with the subjects – it seems well suited to the grasses and watery look. Very nicely done indeed!!!

All the best
Matthew

Lovely rendition, Jackie- everything is lively and moving- a very nice effect. Comp is great, as usual. Might want to fix those bits of black at the edges?

Nice image and application, Jackie.

The flow of the lines is nice here.

I might have widened the black border, if were mine. But then again, that is my vision.

I love the resulting texture on the heron and reeds, this works beautifully but for me the water has come out rather heavy looking (if you know what I mean) and the depth and perspective of the bg is lost. I think perhaps its the small strokes - makes it appear too curly wurly? to my poor old eye!! 8)

Jackie:

This is truly a compelling image (both versions). Well done.
