Quick post before work.

Taken near the Samburu Serena Lodge, Kenya. Early morning game drive on the way to Sweetwaters Tented Camp. This Chanting Goshawk was doing as the name implies.

Off to work...good day all! 8)

Nikon D100, 500mm AF-S, ISO 200, 1/1250, f4, Beanbag on top of Vehicle.

George,

This is very cool. Tack sharp all around and great exposure.

Fine shot, George. Maybe less room on top (1/3 less than as posted) and more room below for the virtual tail.

Very nice to see such a clean shot, my ops were all very cluttered backgrounds. I agree with Sandy's comments about space above and below. But nonetheless a really nice image.

George,

Terrific shot. Love the feather detail and the open beak. Well done.

I think this is beautiful. Like Sandy, I'd love just a touch more room below but I love this as is. :)

Smashing shot. Never seen one chanting, and nicely captured. Slightly less room on top and perhaps right would work also.

An excellent capture, George!
I'd agree with Sandy's suggestion on the composition ... less at the top with a bit more room at the bottom frame.

Outstanding! Love the screaming pose. What's in the bg? I wish it was more uniform. :)

very nice, I agree about the `virtual tail' but would keep the room above.

I agree with the space issue, but besides that, you have a superb photo. The bird sits very well in the lovely, matching colour BG, detail is terrific and the calling is an excellent catch.
