If you watch Herons as much as I do, you know that finally they’ll do something interesting, even magical; in this case a little ballet move (with grace and precision of movement to boot) at Netarts Bay, Oregon. Fuji S2, w/800mm f5.6 Nikkor (MF), f8 @ 1/1000, 800 ISO, Raw.

Ron you sure got a beautiful pose and captured the bird perfectly....

Very stunning pose... bg seems distractive to me but still a great image. Exposure and detail on the wings are outstanding.

Nice pose here. Getting lower and backing up would have helped with the background and allowing a little more space to "dance". :)

Great image especially considering the subject. It's hard to find a GBH shot that has not been done to death. This is different and well done. A bit tight for me too.
