Turkmenian Eagle Owl
Captive
EOS300D, Sigma 100-300 F4 + 1.4TC ISO 400, 1/1000 @ F8 -1.

Further to my previous portrait shot of Cleopatra, here she is in all her glory - pantaloons 'an all!!

She really is a most stunning Owl and a great character at her home in the Thorpe Perrow Arboretum in Yorkshire.

All comments and critiques always welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking.

Lovely specimen. Your exposure is perfect, bringing out the colours and green BG beautifully.

Super shot, Carol. Stunning detail. I'd like the bird a bit closer to the left side.

Stunning detail and pose! Those eyes are like a magnet. I am not sure about moving her, this central composition sorta works for me, but if i moved, i would have moved her to the right.

Yet another goregous shot. She's a beauty with incredible detail and mesmerizing eyes. I don't know how you do it.....I'd be there all googly eyed drooling and forget to shoot. Excellent as always.
