Hey Happy birthday. Very nice shot. Everything looks great from here!

I'll have to try try crawling through the mud at Jamaica Bay on my birthday... Since it's in the middle of shorebird migration, maybe something good will happen to me too!

Happy birthday! Love the image, the close bird and the beautiful blue water. As mentioned, some of the whites appear a touch hot, but they could probably be brought down in image editing.

What a great gift to yourself! :)

Chris,

Well worth all the effort getting your own BD present. Exceptional to get the full crest raised.

I think this is spectacular. The whites are close to hot but I think there is still enough detail there and you wouldnt want the black to be gone too so I think you did a nice job with this. These guys are so hard to get, congratulations.

Excellent and Happy Birthday. Mine was the day before yours. I love the shot. The whites are perhaps just a tad hot but still show detail.

Whites are a tad hot, but this is an absolutely stunning shot. Well done and Happy Birthday.

Now that's a beauty eh?!! Very nice, I really like the fully raised crest feathers and low angle. I'm curious about the halo around its head too. Strange but not a nit. A late Happy Birthday to you. :)

Sorry I am late for this one but Happy B-day. This is a great shot but be careful of shadows and highlights as there is a faint wide halo in the background all around thie bird.
