Shot this last Friday after the fog lifted at Anhinga Trail. This one was a real poser.

Canon Elan7e w/Canon 400 5.6L; canon 25mm ext. tube; hh; f/5.6; 1/2000; Kodak Ultra 400UC.

Scanned on Fuji Frontier as hi res tif; cropped to 4x5; adjusted shadow/highlights and cloned out piece of feather in the beak in Photoshop CS; sharpened and added level 3 digital velvia. Ran it through neat image.

Hi PHP, I don't know weather to commend you on your photography or your PhotoShop skills. Either way, you have a nice image of this male Anhinga, my only wish would be for more room on top.

I like the image the way it is, the ratio seems fine and more room at the top would do away with the pretty feathers at the bottom. If anything I would like more room at the right. With any crop (original or suggestions) it is a fine image. Congratulations

Al, no need to do away with the feathers at the bottom to gain more head room, just back up.

If moving was an option I agree totally. Was thinking more in what to do with the image that was already present. I like those birds, they seem to have a crazy streak in them :D
