Taken today while at the zoo. These are not a part of the zoo exhibits, but rather Canada geese that are attracted by the streams flowing through the park on the outskirts of town. Canon D60, EF300mm f4.0L, ISO 200, f4, 1/1000 sec. Late morning light. I was about ready to call it a day when I saw these guys out for a swim. I tried getting some different poses than having the geese looking directly at the camera, but had no luck in getting the whole family together except for this shot. :(

Very pretty light. I understand wanting the whole family but the one parent is still quite far away to work well in this format. If you crop the bottom to more of a pano format it works better IMHO.

Very nice family shot. Cindy's idea may be a pleasant alteration.

Very nice shot Linda! The goslings are adorable and parents clearly very protective. Its always difficult to get a group to perform the way you want and even more so with birds! I agree a pano would work well with this group, but even with the distance in between - this works as is because of the content. 8) 8) :)
