Coastal Brown bear
Hallo Bay Camp, Katmai, AK
STL workshop

I was going through some images from last summer s trip to hallo Bay and thought this shot fit the motif. Thanks for looking. All comments appreciated.

Canon 10D with 500mmIS on tripod, ISO 400, 1/250 @5.6, full frame. Highlights from driftwood toned down with highlight/shadow tool in CS

Hey, I recognize that bear. A great image, and it fits the motif very well.
Love the raised paw.

Can't wait to go back this coming Aug.

Best,

Another nice shot Cheryl. The raised paw sure shows off those claws.

Nice image Cheryl. The paw up to show motion is great. I like that you can see both eyes and the green BG is really nice.

Nicely done and the sharpness is amazing. My only wish is for the OOF background object to not merge with the head.

Superb shot, bright eyes and great detail. The sharpness gives a real 3D effect here and pops the bear off the screen at you!!

Excellent! 8) 8) 8) :)

Great shot Cheryl. This guy looks old, distinguished, and opinionated. The image does have a neat depth effect.

Great sharpness, pose, and composition, Cheryl, and I really like the rich brown color and healthy look of the coat.

Nice shot, Cheryl. The green in the background does a whole lot to highlight the warm brown fur. The raised paw really does imply motion and I like the faintest bit of motion blur that I can see on it.
