Waterton National Park is a great place to photograph mule deer during the autumn rut.
If I were shooting this again, I would try to back up a couple of steps, and place the deer's head just a bit to the right - I think it's a bit too centered as it is. The highlights are a bit blown on this scan, but they're okay on the original transparency. What do all of you think of it? Canon T-90, FD 500mm f4.5L lens, Fuji Velvia 50 (400 dpi lo-res scan from my NSCS database - I was too lazy to dig up the original ). This photo has been selling like crazy the last few months! |
