Well, I'm just in a spanish kind of mood so that is what I named it! :wink:
* If those little spanish words in the title are not right, someone let me know!

I like how the 50mm reversed lens attached to the macro can take the edges of this rose that are packed close together, and with the light playing just right, can give it a more dimensonal look. I was going after a soft focus, and it seems that the depth is not there or does not look right when it is sharp. So I backed off just a little bit on the focusing ring to get this. The lens is only about 1/2" from the petal edges.
This looks pretty good as a 8x10, but have not had a chance to print it larger, ..................... cuz I'm out of paper!!

Canon Rebel 300D
Canon 100mm macro with extension tube & 50mm reversed
Macro slider
Window light, 1 reflector, 1 mirror
6 sec. @ f32
ISO 100
* A touch of levels/curves in PS

Thanks for looking gang!
Mike

G'day Michael,

So many fabulous thumbnails, and so little time (no DSL, just a dial-up). But this one certainly caught my eye and it's..., well, it makes me want to thoroughly eliminate my rustic decor and paint the walls of my studio a soft, pastel green and then put up this image, gorgeously framed in some shiek frame, as a, oh, 6' high print!

Wonderful, imaginative uses of stacked lenses. (And I thought that technique was only good for photograph flies eyes and springtails.)
