John,
I may be alone on this but I would like to see this as a vertical crop eliminating much of the busy surroundings. It might also remove some of the sense of shooting down from above. (But then again maybe it would look awful that way.)

I agree this would be better as a vertical with most of the right side cropped off and putting the subject in a better position compositionally. The doe is beautiful and the soft lighting is wonderful.
