Trying his best to imitate a frieght train. Chas and I were playing around with these guys during the SD Nanpa summit.

He is definitely doing a good frieght train imitation. Great job showing the movement. The colors and the comp are excellent. I do wish there was a little more definition to the subject though.

This is a cool shot, Cory, with a very clean background and spot-on exposure. Nice work getting a straight horizontal pan on a beanbag -- this image really shows the speed at which the animal was running. A little faster shutter speed may have had the same effect and avoided the vertical movement that prevents cleaner definition of the subject.

Cory,
These shots are not as easy as Chas makes them out to be. You had the courage to try it at Custer, I did not. I echo the comments above and altho there are weaknesses I find this an entertaining image and well worth posting here. How many slow pans did you take and how many did you keep?

Cory,

Unfortunately for us mere mortals, Chas makes it all lokk easy. :D Very well done although I agree you would get the same effect with a higher shutter speed with the added benefit of more definition.

No doubt that the image effectively conveys the sense of motion! It would be a keeper on my light table.

Oh, I like this because the true motion of the buff is expressed with the circular motion of the legs. Are you panning from a moving vehicle??
