Common Buckeye (Junonia coenia)

Here's one more from the smaller side of life. I was killing time during the Hawk Watch on the upper Texas coast and tried another shot at butterflies. I hope you enjoy.

I will throw out the first (unavoidable) nit. I wish the seed pod didn't stick up behind the left hindwing. Other than that, I am happy with the shot.

Canon 10D & 100-400 IS on monopod

1/1000 @ f/9
No flash

Very nice and I don't mind the seed pod, a slightly darken BG could enhance the BF a tad more, but nice as is !! Congrats!!! 8)

Nice butterfly image. I don't mind the seed pod as much as the OOF grass stem. Both are really minor though.
