Okay, ....... I know that yall are about ready for something different, so I'll post maybe this one and another one, then move on to something else! :)
(I do have a ton of these!)

This is another one from a low angle, but this time I shot through the foliage on the shady side and having the foliage/stems from other existing plants in the background to be in the light.
I like how the top turned out. Very narrow stems in the light, all bunched together and OOF gives it an appearance of streaks of sunlight at the top.

About 25% cropped from the left.
Overexposed and very slight contrast added.

Michael,
I like this approach,the softness and the pastel nature of the image is griping. My feel is this,you have to hit the sweet spot to make the image jump. I see a sweet spot in the image you posted. The bud, almost in the center seems to say "crop tight". I love the exploration, this is stimulating.

I love the way it dissolves and flows out of the top of the frame- very painterly, lovely pastels.

great effect! looks like some of the flowers in the back are in flames! ( what about toning in red ? just a silly thaught!) ; keep them comming!
