This was taken at Sunken Meadow State Park.

Canon 1D 500mm f4 1.4x, Tripod Ball head Sidekick Leveling head, Manual exposure using incident meter 1/400 @ 5.6, Manual focus.

Good shot, Jimmy. I like his expression and pose, sort of "caught in the act". Hope you didn't get as muddy as him!

Pose is great. Love the composition. Knowing how fastidious raccoons can be makes the action with his paws very amusing. (Gotta wonder what he did once leaving the mud.)

Nice catch right down to the muddy legs & paws. The raccoon stands out nicely against the mud.

Very cute little critter! THe expression is great - like it's feeling guilty for having such dirty paws. It looks a tiny bit oversharpened on my monitor.
