This scene rewarded the Midwest members on the first morning of last month's Michigan UP trip, who braved frigid temperature that morning. Lake of the Clouds, seen here, is within Porcupine Mountains State Park. The overlook, which drops about 800' to the lake, is much-photographed, but I've never seen it with color of the intensity that we had that morning. It was a spectacular start to a great week in the UP!

HOw the heck did you get that wide with a 450mm? I shot this with a 210mm and it is tighter than yours????

HERE is a shot with the 210mm.

Nice none the less.

Oops! I must have been thinking of a different LOC shot where I used the 450mm. Was yours definitely with 210? It seems much tighter than 210 should have been. Anyway, mine must have been with the 150 if yours was 210...too bad there's no data imprinting for large format

Love the colors! Can't get too far past those but the horizon line seems to blend with the sky. Could be this monitor! :)
