Grand Canyon of Yellostone - Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

A bit of a redundant image with the millions taken of this spot but at least I got one with a bit of a rainbow :)

Another great shot EJ

The added colour really adds to the falls I also like the framing that includes the bottom of the river it allows an exit for the river and completes the scene.

Think I've got the same shot from 10 years ago without the rainbow. Very nice.

Yes, even I have seen a few shots of this scene E.J. but I have no hesitation in saying this is the most awesome and visually stunning one I have had the pleasure to view.

Not only is it a technical masterpiece, but you have not only captured the scene - but woven into it a tapestry of different scenes, which taken together form a feast for the eyes at every turn. Each part would make a picture in its own right, and together the overall effect is magical.

Once again you present us with a masterpiece!! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) :)

Fantastic! I think Carol echoes my sentiments, so I won't repeat them!

The choice of shutter speed is right on. For a fall like this, it's good to see texture, and not just the silky lines that work well on small falls.

Did you use a polarizer on this?

We see so many shots from this location. Is it possible to hike or rappel into that canyon for a different shot?

Yes a polarizer was used to bring out the rainbow.

Yes there is a trail that goes down much closer to the falls and I took it but there is a lot of vegetation obscuring what would otherwise be a great shot. There are also several spots on the other side of the canyon that these falls can be shot from but they aren't as dramatic as this.
