Snow Goose Chen caerulescens

When we arrived at Bosque on Friday for the NS eScape the wind was coming out of the South allowing a few landing shots. Taken at about 4:00 pm.

This is cropped from the original ~30%

10D, 600/4, tripod, -1/3, f4, 1/2000, ISO 200

Comments and critiques are always welcome. Thanks for looking. :)

Awesome, great light.
Good job getting separation between the foot/wingtip.

Bill, This is a very nice shot. I like the positions of the birds and the composition. If you cropped from the bottom, I might consider leaving a bit more room below since the implied direction of flight is downward.

Yeah, I know. The shutter lag on the 10D wasn't accounted for in this shot and the bottom of this frame is the bottom of the frame.

Love the lighting. Great job getting these two in the same shot with no overlap.

Not much to add to what's been said. Great shot, specially with two landing at once.

Bill,

Excellent flight shot. You sure had nice light. Exposure looks perfect and I like that there is no merging of the birds.

Awesome photo Bill. I was also thinking more room at the bottom. I might push the brightness on this a bit but still keep the warmth.

This is excellent, Bill. Two geese, with separation AND some background. Very sweet.

Very nice shot! Never had the wind in my favor for the three days I was there. I'll just have to stay longer next year!
