King Penguin
Volunteer Point, East Falkland Island

I have been so busy lately I have not spent much time in this forum and almost missed the penguin motif. This shot was from the first day of a tour of the Falklands in 2002. I am looking forward to going back in Jan 2005.

Breathetaking portrait. Is it possible that those colors are real? What a gorgeous creature it is. Excellent.

Cheryl,

This is absolutely stunning. The pose and the colors are really great. Thank you for this fine contribution to this week's Motif. :D

Awesome cheryl. I wonder if some fill flash would have given more detail in the black.

Cheryl,

Wonderful shot. I like how the bill is pointing at the upper right corner of the frame.
