It looks like a nice image of the bird, although it's quite small in the frame. I'd prefer to see this as a vertical by cropping just right of the tip of the tail and cropping just left of the reeds. The space on both sides of the bird and reeds is pretty much dead space. I think the resulting image would be very nice!

A nice shot - the head looks just a bit soft to me but I like the light very well here.

I am impressed with all warbler shots and this one is done quite well. I agree with E.J. on the softness.

Griffin, I agree with Alans crop idea. I imagine this is not an east Warbler to get out in the open. great shot.

Nice image. I haven't even seen a picture of this bird before, let alone the bird itself. It looks to me like it is focused on the top part of the perch rather than the bird's eye. I think I would like to see a little of the right side cropped out so the bird is not quite so centered. Still a nice image and one that I would be proud to have. Thanks for sharing.

Nice picture but this bird is definitely not Dusky Warbler. Dusky Warbler has shorter and 'simpler' tail, smaller bill and different plumage pattern.

My quess for this one is some Prinia -specie, but not sure of specie.

Jussi, you are correct -- this is a plain prinia. Sorry for the mistake.

Alan, thank for your kind words. I am going to work out the crop issue and the sharpen. I think the slight blur is caused by head movement of the subject.

That day, I heard some "twik, twik" noise in the bush. So I whistled to lure it out -- tt turned out there were 4 such birds inside! One of them was curious so it was "caught" in the frame.

Interesting bird... too bad about that one twig coming into the head, but thats minor. I think the vertical suggestions are good ones. Nice shot!

You've now got a fantastic image, Griffin!!! What a beautiful gem!!! I'd suggest putting "reposted" alongside Plain Prinia so others may revisit this glorious morsel. :D :D :D
