A shot I haven't posted anywhere before from a wonderful, eight-hour, 25-roll trip ashore at Hanna Point, Livingston Island, South Shetlands, just north of the Antarctic Peninsula. EOS-3, 400 DO, 1.4x II, 1/400, f8 (spot +1 1/2 from brightest white of adult), Provia at 100 and unpushed. Full width, cropped slightly top and bottom (to 1.417/1 from 1.5/1).

Wow, Cliff. The light is wonderful as is the interaction you captured. I would probably prefer a little more room but it's also nice an intimate as is. Well done. Lately I have been thinking more and more of when I will have the opportunity to shoot these. It' not a matter of if, just when. Thanks for the continued inspiration.

The light and softness of the feathers make this a great shot Cliff.

Beautiful light Cliff. The focal point is the act of feeding and the light and detail in the mouth is perfect.
