Very nice image. Didn't realize until seeing this that the species occurs outside North America, where it is called Northern Hawk Owl.

Boy would I love to have a shot like this. It looks pretty flat on my monitor though. A little curves work would take it over the top.

Vesa, love the profile body and the head face on. Great photo. It might need a bit more contrast, although I'm on a laptop and could be wrong.

With the brighter BG this may need a stronger flash setting. Though as stated it can probably be made to sing with PS.

Love the piercing stare!
