I was thrilled to get a bit of the top side look at this one and the fall colors. I mostly only get shadowed underwings when they are coming in.

Eos 20D, 500mm IS, 1.4x TC, ISO 400, 81% of the frame
1/2500 sec, f/7.1
Mode: Av
Metering: Evaluative
ISO: 400
AF mode: AI Servo AF
Drive: Continuous: frame 1
White balance: Auto
Flash: Off

Thanks for looking and good shooting!

Nice shot Brian. I like the topside details & the colorful bg. I might crop a bit off the right.

Nice shot Brian, sweet composition and placement inbetween the treetops, slight crop off the right would be sweeter!

Very nice, Brian. I like how the bottom is framed by the tree line. I agree, maybe a little more room on the right, but I think that's more preference than nit.

Just awesome Brian! :) Excellent exposure, sharpness and colors. The BG actually dictates the placement of the bird with this natural framing and composition is just right IMO...

Love the topside view and the way the trees are framing him! Comp looks good to me too! A very minor nit, but you might want to clone out just a little bit of the tree that's near his wing. Very nice image Brian!

I like this one....especially how the bird is framed with the trees. Nice detail on the top side. I don't have any Canada flight shots....maybe I need to start working on them.

Love the BG trees, and the way you got it against the clear sky is just brilliant.
