Northern Harrier

Taken at Jones Beach today. Had a two hour lunch break today, very
slow at the beach. Fred and I were having a corona or two and a slice
of pizza, when the Harrier flew right in front of us, I dropped my
corona and was able to get a shot or two. No way in hell Freddy was
going to drop his corona for any bird!

You sure have had a run of good luck with the raptors lately. Another beauty. Not many things worth dropping a Corona for.....but this one was worth it!!

Definitely worth dropping the Corona! I've pretty much given up trying to photograph these guys around here!

Awesome shot Rich and very funny story on one's priorities. A two hour lunch with Beer and Pizza sounds good to me even without the awesome head-on Harrier shot!

Rich

You realize the beer foul impacts the image rating ;-)

The fact that you were able to react so qucikly and get the image if great.
I think I'd have to hang onto my "Summit" though.

Great capture.

Richard,

Excellent Harrier flight shot. It's alot easier to order another beer than it is to get a great flight shot. You made the right choice!

I'd drop a case for this one, Rich. Stunning eye contact and super sharpness / detail.
