Taken at a local nature center in South Minneapolis, MN. The crew that cuts trees in the park piled up a
bunch of brush and trees that had seed pods on them. There was a bevy of sparrows - Lincoln's,
White-throated, White-crowned, and this one very active Song Sparrow. His territory must have been
within the brush pile because he spent all his time chasing other sparrows away. He looks like he enjoyed the thistle
crop and had a couple of seeds stuck to his bill. This is a pretty extreme crop at least 60%, but my 20D
seems to be able to overcome where my D30 would have had issues.
Regards,

Terry

Nice pose captured, Terry!
The hefty crop hurts the resolution somewhat ...

Did you just fix this ? It didn't show a minute ago, but it's working now.

Good strong comp & nice clean bg. Exposure seems a little bright, would back it off a touch across the image & burn the hotspots on the branches too.

The title cracked me up by the way.

My ISP had some down time for maintenance, thus the dreaded red x.

Looks like I went overboard on brightness since the raw image was darker.

I forgot the technicals too:

Canon 20D, Canon 600mm f/4, ISO 800, 1/125 @ f/6.3, FF -1 1/3
