Yes, here is another shot of the Blue Wren taken much closer. This shot does not portray the whole log but a closer view of the bird. I was lucky enough as the bird stayed there longer than I thought it would, probably enjoying the warth of the winters sun.

Comments appreciated

I like this closeup showing every detail of this beautiful little bird, Perry!
The hollow arch on the perch gives it an artistic feel too ...

I like the comp a lot, the lines in the wood draw your eye right to the bird.

What a beautiful little bird. I like your avatar shot better but would gladly have this in my files.

The textures in the perch are just as good as they were in your earlier post! What was your aperture in order to get this much DOF? I think the WB is a little on the cool side for my tastes but this certainly works as is. Fantastic shot, I love it! :D

I love this bird immensly! I sure wish we had them where I live. I think the perch is great but the picture would be better served by cropping down some more, mostly off the left. Not saying a totally close in crop. But the main thing is that I would like to see the bird stand out more from the backround, especially the whites of his breast. My suggestion would be to darken the perch and backround, generally increase the contast of the whole picture and increase the saturation of the blues in the bird(which might happen automatically with thecontrast boost) and maybe brighten the white breast. The whole picture just looks a little washed out to me but I really love it. How about those little feet!
