1D Mark II, Canon 500 f-4, x1,4, 1/1250, f-8, iso 320, handheld

I was trying to get a decent flight shot of the Masked Lapwing showing the spurs for a long time now. Few days ago got lucky.
It attacks anyone and anything that invade its territory in a similar way to what Terns do but it can inflict very unpleasant wounds with these spurs.

The bird is full frame but I had to add canvas and re-crop.

Super shot, Ofer. Very distinctive pattern on this bird. Good detail and some of the white in the tail might be just over. Those spurs look nasty. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, what an amazing image, not to mention the subject! Those spurs look really nasty. I would darken the BG a little bit, but its a perfect image.
