I have to say that I am sorry I did not purchase a 20D sooner. I am able to get shots I only dreamed of
previously.

This immature White-faced Ibis was hanging out just south of Minneapolis in Dakota County. I was there
with a group of birders and watched it forage for about an hour. A large pickup truck drove by at high
speed and spooked the bird. Luckily I was able to get some images before it flew off to the west.
Not as close as I would have liked, but I still like it.

Canon 20D, Canon 600mm f/4, ISO 400, 1/1600 @ f/8.

Regards,

Looks like a great upgrade for you getting birds in flight. Not sure what happened in your post-processing, the bird's details are rather muddy and blocked up. :?:

Sorry, Terry, but this doesn't look sharp on my monitor.

I think I tried too extreme of a crop. Life is a learning process :-)

Thanks for the comments

Terry,

Yes, looks like a major crop; I'm guessing though that this was a rarity in your area.
