Just a Common Sandpiper portrait. Bit boring, but is none the less a more decent shot for me this season. :oops:

This chap has mud all over its feet so I can only assume you got the shot not far from the mudflat. I'd want to see him on the mud rather than concrete floor as is ... :wink:

Fantastic detail in the bird (it's a juv) if, you'd got lower the perch wouldn't be o much of a problem, the strong concrete diagonal is a shame..

Nice look at this species Angus. The perch is not great but the image could be improved also by a bit more contrast/saturation.
