Common Kingfisher - Alcedo atthis

Common kingifisher in good morning light, this is almost full-frame picture of this very little 'bastard' :)
This is very simple picture with very simple composition, but I liked it.

Eqp. : EOS 20D, Canon 100-400L IS, Kenko x1.4 TC, Monopod and a tent...

The bird and light are great. Simple is good.
I would prefer just a little more room at the top

THis is beyond exceptional, considering what little "bastards" they are to get near to photograph.

Please tell us how did you get this close?

There is a place with water, it is like a lake, just very small with bushes and of course fish - the kingfisher favorite,
I put my tent near the water and then waited with this branch very nearby, it took me few mornings to catch some good pictures of the kingfisher.
Another thing, I needed to take in considetation the sun light of course before I placed the tent.
