I like the pose as well. I wish there was some more detail under the wings.

I think I know exactly where you were standing for this. :) Really nice inclusion of the "Homer perch", love the pose in flight here. Maybe a touch of shadows/highlights could bring out just a little detail in the darks if you were so inclined.

The 70-200 was a great lens for that location!

Would go with Heather's suggestion on using the s/h tool to open up the black areas ...

Great shot Mike - not the easiest lighting situation with a BE but you handled it well. I love the intenstiy of the bird's eyes looking for the landing pad.
